Alexandra Jones

Cellist, Alexandra Jones, is a chamber musician, orchestral player, and educator living in New York City. She holds degrees from New York University and SUNY Purchase; studying with Marion Feldman and Julia Lichten, respectively. Alexandra performs and records classical orchestral and chamber repertoire as well as contemporary art music, pop, jazz, and musical theater. Alexandra's teaching is influenced by her own experience, her teachers, the Suzuki Method, and basic principles of educational psychology. Her Suzuki training was at School for Strings, led by Pamela Devenport. Ms. Jones teaches privately, at the United Nations International School, and Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.
